Show #106 (I think) Playlist, etc.

The Godfather of Soul

James Brown

Without soul, music is just organized notes. When music is played with soul, it lives – in as true a sense as it gets.

If music played with soul lives, James Brown’s music remains among the most living.

This coming Sunday, the 25th of December, marks the fifth anniversary of the death of the legendary performer/songwriter/leader, and best way I can think I can pay my respect at this time is to make sure his sound is still heard. If I could, I’d play all two hours of the Godfather of Soul, but I’d better keep a nice selection of other tunes going, just to spice things up. I may even play a Christmas tune, if you’re lucky. Maybe.

Tune in tonight from 4:00 to 6:00, put the headphones on or turn up the car speakers or whatever your preferred method of listening be and enjoy.

Also, don’t forget to check this site during the show for a playlist and keep the tweets coming.
