Show #226 + Long-Play Wednesday

After an unexpected vacation last week (I was home, sick, feeling sorry for myself), I’m back in full effect! Bringing you that cool jazz, that hard funk, that fringe pop, and all those sneaky weird musical treats.

It’s Long-Play Wednesday, and you know that means today’s show will be played entirely on vinyl. Tune in from 4:00 to 6:00 for the special last show of the month.

Regina Community Radio Garage Sale Booty

Continuing in WPIT?! fashion, I’ll be diving into some more music from CJTR’s Annual Music Garage Sale. I picked up a lot of cool gems on Saturday, and I can’t wait to play some of them on the air.

To drop some names (although I won’t play all of them on this show – you’ll have to listen to Operation Manatee for a lot of the more noisy stuff): The Roots, Pennywise, Great Uncles Of The Revolution, Layaway Plan, Sufjan Stevens, Sneaker Pimps, Gnarls Barkley, Wynton Marsalis, Archie Shepp, Ella Fitzgerald…

Tune in from 4:00 to 6:00 for some great music.

Only 3 more sleeps until Regina’s biggest music garage sale! This Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, come down to CJTR (1102 8th Ave, GMC building on 8th, near Winnipeg) for good quality vinyl, CDs, musical instruments, stereo equipment, sheet music, music magazines, and more!

Note: There is a $1 admission charge. Be sure to bring a loonie.

Over the many years this great event has been going on, I’ve picked up a ton of gems, including my home stereo receiver, my turntable, a guitar pedal, a chord organ, not to mention: heaps of great music on vinyl, CD, and cassette tape (I don’t think we’re doing tapes anymore, sorry).

If you, are a music lover in Regina, this is something you just can’t miss!

Tune in from 4:00 to 6:00 today, for a garage sale special where I will be playing selections from Regina Community Radio Annual Music Garage Sale that I’ve picked up over the years.
