Regina Folk Festival 2014: Saturday

Ben and Chris, broadcasting live from the park

Now that’s the kind of Folk Fest I know and love!

My day: Man! What a day! Great live music, live interviews with Folk Fest artists for CJTR, Farmer’s Market, wine, friends…

I think this was the earliest I’d ever gotten out of bed on FF weekend. Got downtown around 9:30, had breakfast coffee, and bought lots of fresh goodies from the Farmer’s Market, met a friend for lunch, then did a three-hour live broadcast for CJTR where Ben and I interviewed Joel Plaskett, Elliott Brood, Mo Kenney, Saidah Baba Talibah, The Dead South, and maybe more?

After that, mainstage fun, friends in the sun. Great Folk Fest day! Also, my feet turned black from mud. Neat.

After party: Blitz The Ambassador!!! Loved it!

Who I came to see: No one, really. Just know Folk Fest is always good.

Who blew me away: Saidah Baba Talibah. Just wow!

Best part of the day: Live CJTR broadcast from the park. Can’t wait to do it again next year!

Regrets: None. Well, maybe staying up past my bedtime.

Overall: Loved it!
