Happy Wednesday! It’s the last Wednesday of the month, in fact, and as you know, that means it’s vinyl time here at WPIT?!
Indeed, once a month, I bring vinyl records from my own collextion just to share with you on the air. Think of it like coming over to my place, having a couple drinks and listening to some selections I’ve picked out especially for you. Well, kind of for me too.
Tune in from 4:00 to 6:00, put on those old headphones, find a comfy spot and enjoy.
Tune in tonight from 4:00 to 6:00 for warm crackly vinyl goodness.
It be International Talk Like a Pirate Day #itlapd 2012 and a might fine day it be, indeed! This be yer Cap’n speakin – er… typin to ye from below the mighty mast of the dreaded ship CJTR. I’s here to tell ye to tune in for a special pirate edition of What Planet Is This?!* We’ll be anchoring around 4:00 and settin’ sail by 6:00 tonight. Tuning in is required and the beatings will continue until morale improves.
*For the record, this will not be 2 hours of sea shanties. Sorry – or you’re welcome, depending on how you look at it.
Freddie Hubbard – Straight Life
Finally! It’s been a while since the last Long-Play Wednesday
. Of all the shows to skip, I least like skipping LP day.
I have some new and old favourites in the bag for your listening pleasure today. We’re going to kick it like they did in 1975, y’all – except with WAY less disco… #shudderofdeath …and with more music from the 2000s.
You’re going to love it. I know you are. Especially that one part! Man! That one part. Let me tell you.
Actually, no. You can hear for yourself this aft/eve from 4:00 to 6:00. I’m going to pick it up and drop it in that groove, y’all! Yeah.
Fred Wesley and the J.B.’s – Damn Right I Am Somebody
You didn’t get blown away in the storm last night, did you? That was pretty wild for a short while.
Thank the music gods for the end of the month.
“Why?” You may ask. (Go ahead, ask.)
If for no other reason than sweet, wonderful Long-Play Wednesday!
Tonight, as we reflect on the marshmallow-like mammatus clouds of yesterday in Regina, plug in those headphones, or (if you can do so without being evicted) turn that old stereo way up, make yourself a nice cup of tea, tune out the rest of the world and enjoy 2 hours of vinyl records from my personal collection starting at 4:00 PM.

If you’ve listened to WPIT?!
with any regularity, you know by now that the last Wednesday of every month is when I bring a bunch of my favourite vinyl records for a listen. Today happens to be that great, warm, crackly day!
I think of it as inviting a few friends over to share some good tunes, some good wine and a good time.
Kick back, relax, maybe invite some friends over for wine and tune in from 4:00 to 6:00 for a sample of my record collection.
His Master's Voice, by Francis Barraud
What are you doing from 4:00 to 6:00 PM today?
Come relax and listen to some good music with me. On the last Wednesday of every month, I play two hours of great music on vinyl record.
Don’t forget to come back here during the show for a playlist.
